Boveedy Community Association.
Boveedy Community Association has existed since the year 2000 and was created to improve facilities and access to services in Boveedy and the surrounding areas. Over the years we have provided recreational and educational opportunities for everyone in the local
community and surrounding areas to participate in, to try and improve the skills levels. These opportunities help to address Community cohesion and social inclusion as well as helping with social isolation and mental well-being. We cater for the mainly middle aged and elderly demographic.
The committee of Boveedy Community Association convenes on a monthly basis in Boveedy Community Hall, which we hold a long term lease on. As life starts to get back to normal after Covid 19 we have found people reticent to participate in events again, especially indoor events, although as the year progressed numbers gradually improved with our Coronation event and Male voice choir concert very well supported
Funding
Boveedy Community Associations Funding strategy meets with our charitable aims, we have regular fundraising events, and we also have a regular rental income stream. We are continually grateful to Causeway Coast and Glen’s Council for their ongoing support with running costs. A full account of our finances is included with this report.
