Activities

The objects of the Charity are to promote the educational and social welfare of children and young adults in Northern Ireland by (but not exclusively) the following: 3.1. The purchase of property to be used as a community house by such organisations or charitable bodies as the Directors in their absolute discretion shall deem appropriate to promote the objects of the Charity. In determining the organisations to occupy or use the community house in accordance with the objects of the Charity the Directors shall have no regard to the religious, political or other opinions of the organisations provided that they assent to and agree to be bound by the objects of the Charity. The organisations or all persons or groups who use or occupy the community house are to pursue their objects by all lawful means and must agree to co-operate in the use of the Community House with the Directors and the other occupants provided that the decision of the Directors in regard to any use or occupation shall be final. 3.2 Organising and facilitating the organisation of social, recreational and educational activities which involve children and young adults as individuals and as part of families. 3.3. Charitable activities which have as their object the creation of a better and more secure future for children and young adults such as cross community activities which seek to achieve greater community understanding, projects which serve to encourage a greater understanding of the shared cultural heritage and educational projects which have as their aim the building of self esteem and capabilities of children and young adults and their families. 3.4. The organisation of public or other meetings and seminars and other gatherings of a social, educational or recreational nature as the Directors shall deem in anywise to be conducive to the education and social welfare of the children and young adults of Northern Ireland in accordance with the Charity’s objects. 3.5. The organisation of international exchange visits for the children and young adults and those who are working with and supervising them in such activities.
