Annual Report for the year ended July 31$t 2025 The trustees of Omagh Academy School Fund are pleased to submit their report and accounts for the period August 15¢ 2024, to July 31 st, 2025. We acknowledge and thank Mr Keith Hamilton for his excellent service &s a trustee. Mr Steven Arbuthnot has replaced Mr Hamilton as a Irustee. Income receipts for the year totalled £16,746. The main source of income was parental ontributions. Gift Aid totalled £1,785. As trustees. we arc grateful to parents and carers for their financial support of the school fund. The charity spent £20,334 during 2024-2025, leaving a deficit of £3,588 when measured against the income. The overall balance in the account is £54,789. The most significant expenditure was £11.335 on school trips. Pupils had opportunities to participate in year group and subject outings, for example, Year 12 pupils travelled io the Millenium Fonlln to watch a Production of the GCSE English Literature text: Blood Brothers, Year 8 ventured to Castlecoole for an Induction trip, Year l O visited th¢ Armagh Planetarium and also went on an end of year outing to Airtasiic. Years 8 and 9 enjoyed a trip to the cinema. Furthemiore. a cohort of pupils went on a fishing trip to Killybegs. A fun afternoon w&$ held for Year 14 leav¢rs (the class of 2025) at which they enjoyed Éeam building activities and a BBQ lunch. Year I I pupils enjoyed a wellbeing trip to Brunswick Bowling after their external exams. There was a total expenditure of £1,032 on books and past papers for pupils in Years 8-14. £1782 was spent on Revision Skills Workshops for pupils in Years 8, 1 l and 13 and the Interview Skills Day for Year 14. Smaller amounts facilitated the awarding of prizes for a Drama Competition, Sports Day rn¢dals an(1 the submission of entries for the UK Maths Challenge and the West Tyrone Feis. Minibuses were also hired to transport pupils involved in ihe Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Affiliation fees for the Fennanagh and Western Schools, Association, Young EnterpTise, West of Ulster Hockey League, and E-District Athletics were also covered by Ihe School Fund.

The trustees were appointed to the posltlon by vlrtue of belng members of the school's Senior Leadership Team1SLTI and will remain as trustees while they belong to the SLT. The SLT meet regular with de¢lslons on the Fund belng discussed as necessary. The annual report and statement of account5 are approved every year after the accounts are returned from the accountant5. Related Organlsatlon The Fund Is solely related to the grammar school Oma8h Academy and works for the betterment of the pupils within thls school.
Objertlves and Actlvities Charitable Objects The oblect of the Fund is to advance the education of pupils in the school. The Fund alms to provide monies to enable pupils to engage In activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the School and advance the education of the pupils or help to develop relatlonships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school. Publlc Beneflt Statement. The trustees of Omagh Academy School Fund confirm that they have complied with their duty of Charlties Act INorthern Ireland) 2008 to have regard to the Charity Commission's 8uid3nce on public benefit and that the publlc benefit requirement has informed the actlvlties of the Fund in ihe year to June 2023 Approved and adopted by a meeting of the trustees on 13, January 2026 and slgned on their behalf.
