Annual Report for the year ended July 31$t, 2022
The t￿￿tee5 of Omagh Academy are pleased to submit th¢ir report and accounts foT the
period August 1" 2021, to July 3 1st, 2022. On 31" August 2021. Mrs C Gervais retir¢d as
the trustee of the fund. We thank her for her dilkgent service and wish her a happy retirement.
Income receipts foT the year totalled £17, 398. The main source of income was parental
contribulions. As trustees, we are grateful to parents for their financial support of the school
fund.
The charity spent £16, 097, resulting in a net income of £1,301 The overall balance in tbe
account is £73.204.
During the academic year 2021-222, various trips took place with support from the School
Fund. Year 8 pupils travelled to the National Trust Property at Castle Coole for a team
building day, Year I I pupils enjoyed bowling at BrLU]swi¢k whilst Y¢ar 14 GeographeTS
toured the peace lines in Belfast. End of tenn cinema trips were a￿anged for Years 8-10.
The activities of school clubs were also enabled by the School Fund. The Agriculture Club
hosted speakers to whom a small token was presented. The Junior and Senior Scripture
Unions benefited from a joint trip to Dungannon Park for a barbeque in th¢ summer tenn.
A fun day was organised for Year 14 leavers (the class of 2022) at which they enjoyed
outdoor activities and a cater¢d lunch. The cost of this event totalled £1,100.
There was an expenditure of £1,119 on Pastoral Care which included Independent L¢arning
Workshops for pupils in Years I l arjd 13. The awarding of prizes foT public speaking
competitions organised by the English Department and the purchase of Sports Day medals
Was also facilitated by the Fund. Furthern]ore, to enable pupil participation in arrange of
activities, the fund paid affiliation fees to Ulster Branch Hockey, Northern Ireland Schools,
Football, Young Enterprise and the Ulster Schools Athletics Association.
£1,925 was spent on the purchase of books and past papers. New fiction books were
purchased for the school library, making them accessible to all pupils.

Structure, Governance and Management
Governlng document and constitution
The Fund 15 governed by a constitution which wa5 last updated 28, May 2015, copies of which are
available from the school office.
The Fund is run by the trustees for the good of the pupils of the school.
Trustee selertion and managemerrt
The Fund is managed by the trustees. The trustees were appointed to the position by virtue of being
member5 of the school's Senior Management Team1SMTI and will remain a5 trustees while they
belong to the SMT. The SMT meet regular with decisions on the Fund being (Jiscu5sed as necessary.
The annual report and statement of accounts are approved every year after the accounts are
returned from the accountants.
Related Organlsatlon
The Fund is solely related to the grammar school Omagh Academy and works for the betterment of
the pupils within thi5 school.

Objectives and Artivities
Charltable Objects
The object of the Fund is to advance the education of pupils in the school.
The Fund aims to provide monies to enable pupils to engage in activities or provide facilities or
equipment which 5UPPOrt the School and advance the edvcation of the pupils or help to develop
relationships between the Staff, parents and others associated with the school.
Publlc Benefft Statement.
The trustees of Omagh Academy School Fund confirm that they have complied with their duty of
Charitie5 Act INorthern Ireland) 2008 to have regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public
benefit and that the public benefit requirement has informed the activities of the Fund in the year to
June 2020
