DESCRIPTION AP4D PURPOSE
The purposes of the Church of God Armagh are".
a) The worship of God the Father in a550ciation with the Breaking of the Bread communion

bl To 'continue steadfastly in the apostles, teachlng and fellowship, in the breaking of bread
and prayers, (Act5 2.42).
c) To preach the gospel of God concernin8 his Son, Jesus Christ (Matthew 28..19)," to make
disciples and to teach them His command5.
d) To hold, as a body of divinely revealed truth. 'the whole counsel of God, (Act 20.27),
otherwise known as 'the faith, (Jude 3), and to declare it to others.
e) To meet regularly for prayer {Att5 2.42).
fj To meet regularly to share the truths of Scripture so as to edify one another to spiritual
8rowth (Acts 2.42).
g) To promote awareness of the importance of the Word of God and of Its relevance to
human experlence.
h) In individual and corporate life to promote love to God and to our neighbour, including a
variety of charitable purposes, conslstent with the teachings of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5-7).
STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
The Church of God (Armagh) Is governed by a Constitution and 15 led and managed by four
harity trustees. who are also known a5 Overseers or Elder5. The charity is a member the
worldwide Churches of God organisation known as 'The Churches of God in the Fellowship of
the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ., which is currently represented on 5 continents and in
10 countrie5. Overseers/Elders from each 'district' meet every 18 months for an oversight
conference.
AcfiviTIES AND OBJECTIVES
The charity's aim is to preach and teach sound biblical doctrine to our members and
adherents. We a150 preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those ivho have not yet made a
decision to become born again Christian5. We hold a weekly service which includes breaking
of bread. We also organise a number of ministries with the aim of evangelism and fellowship
and give a rounded approach to our work. We visit elderly people's homes monthly and carry
out activities such as preaching• singin& and prayer. We also hold weekly prayer rneetings
and ad hoc bible teaching meetings from time to time.

PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT
The direct benefit which flows from our purposes is the advancement of religion by providing
teachings and gospel readings. reaching out to people from outside the Christian faith; providing
teachings of the bible and nurturing those who confess it; promoting Christian values and service to
the community for the benefit of society. These benefits can be demonstrated by the feedback and
appreciative comments from many of those who attend and gain help and encouragement; the
number of people who regularly attend services and participate in church life. The beneficiaries are
the general public from the community in which we live and choose to participate in our activities
and services. No harm can come from the purposes of the charity. There is no private benefitfrom
our purposes.
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements of the Church of God (Armagh) in
accordance with applicable law and generally accepted accounting practice.
As the Church of God {Armagh) total income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have elected
under Section 64(31 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a receipts and payment
account and a ststement of assets and liabilities.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and
explain the Church of God (Armagh) transactions and disclose with responsible accuracy at anytime
its financial position. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Church of God
(Armagh) and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
