## **Linn Primary School PTA - Treasurer Report 2024/2025**

I would like to start by thanking our members and school staff who have yet again worked so hard throughout the year. Our events would not be possible without the dedication and support of everyone involved. To get the most from the PTA requires a lot of preparation and behind the scenes tasks to make events successful. To continue with this success and keep providing for the school, we would ask all parents and guardians to consider what they could bring to the PTA. We don’t ask that you are available for every event, but that you support us in whatever way you can. School budgets are tight and it is vital that the PTA continue to offer support to the schools educational goals.

We had a total income this year of £12,060.09 with a profit of £7,076.90. Our Halloween and summer disco profits were down substantially on last year, only generating £982.34 between them. The Christmas Fair this year brought a profit of £2,163.43 and the Summer Fair a profit of £2342.84, again both down on last year. Other events this year, included the ever popular Movies and Munchies (£471.25 profit), My Child’s Art (£66.72 profit) and our Car Boot Sale (£147.00 profit).

We were very fortunate this year to be part of the Asda Cashpot Scheme. A huge thank you goes to everyone who chose to support Linn Primary School whilst doing their shopping. This generated a massive £1192.81 back to the PTA, which is being used to purchase new reading books for the school. £703.37 of this has already been used, and hopefully some of you will already have seen some of these lovely new books coming home! There is still around £500 that will be spent on more books next year!

Another scheme that we would like to try and utilise is Easyfundraising, where brands payback a commission to the PTA every time you shop through their website or app, without costing you any extra money. We would encourage everyone to take a look at it and hopefully we can build on the £19.33 that it generated for us this year!

The School received a total of £6,271.65 in donations from the PTA this year. This included £1080 for the school hoodies for all our P7 leavers and a donation of £4200 towards new Chromebooks, which means that every pupil from P5 to P7 has access to their own device and that no learning opportunity is missed. iPads that were previously used by these classes will be passed down the school to continue to provide further support for the younger pupils. The Easter Bunny returned to both Nursery and School this year and gave each pupil a chocolate treat! The PTA were also asked if we could supply “Pee Packs” to be used when there is no change of clothes available for a child. 24 of these packs were provided to School containing joggers/leggings, pants and socks. We would ask that if your child ever has to avail of one of these packs, that items are washed and returned to school.

The PTA account had a balance of £7001.84 at the end of June, which will allow us to support Mrs Duff again in 2025/26 and ensure the pupils of Linn Primary School continue to have access to the best resources and facilities. Thank you once again for all your support.
