## **Linn Primary School PTA Treasurer Report 2023/2024**

Firstly, I would like to start by thanking all of our members and school staff who have all worked so hard throughout the year. Any event that we run, no matter how big or small would not be possible without the dedication and support of everyone involved. We are still running as a very small team and as always would welcome new members to join us as we continue fundraising for our School. Every penny that is raised by the PTA is distributed back into school in various ways, either by providing equipment or supplies or funding events for the pupils throughout the year.

We had a total income this year of £12,609.02 with a profit of £7,766.69. Our Halloween and summer discos continued to make excellent profits, generating £1,826.42 between them. The Christmas Fair this year brought a profit of £2,557.94 and the Summer Fair was an improvement on last year’s total, bringing a profit of £2,568.48.

We ran several other events this year, including the return of Movies and Munchies, which had been cancelled during covid restrictions. This was a great evening which all the children seemed to enjoy, and brought a profit of £502.54. We were also delighted to see the postcovid return of the School Musical Production - Mary Poppins Jr. The PTA ran a colouring competition throughout the school on the build up to the shows and also sold tuck and ice cream during the performances, which brought a profit of £192.04.

Other new events were My Child’s Art, which brought a profit of £108.67, our fundraising quiz evening which raised £308.00 and our Car Boot Sale which brought in a profit of £200. These were all great new events which we hope to continue!

This year the School has received a total of £6,156.44 in donations from the PTA. This included £940 spent on purchasing the school hoodies for all our P7 leavers and a donation of £5000 to complete the new trim trail wooden play area that the children all seem to love! We also hosted the Easter Bunny this year, who made special visits to both Nursery and School and gave each child a chocolate treat! The PTA also provided a drink and snack for each child who participated in the Colour Run in memory of our much loved pupil Scarlett.

One final purchase the PTA made this year was our memorial benches in loving memory of Sammy and Scarlett. These were painted in their favourite colours and will be a fond reminder of two much loved pupils. The benches will be placed in our school garden and will be presented to the families at the start of the new school term.

After these donations the PTA account at the end of June was left with a total of £6,196.59, which will be extremely helpful to Mrs Duff for school activities and to continue to improve the surroundings. Thank you again to everyone for all your help and support and hopefully we can make this year bigger and better for Linn Primary School!
