3. The Groups pury)ose is;
Purposc l ) Provid¢ a programme of events for people who are
Blind/Visually Impaired which will include infonnation sessions regarding
benefits, healthy eating. health promotion and sign posting to appropriate
providers. We will also address social exclusion and isolation for
Blindlvisually Impaired people living in n￿al areas. Help them to avail of
projects that encournge socialising and integrdtion both between themselves
and sighted adults without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or
other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary
organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and
to provide facilities in the intert8ts of social welfare for recreation or other
leisur¢-time occupation with th¢ object of improving the conditions of life
for the said inhabitallts.

6. This is the group's seL￿d ryort to cljarity Commission and
Held AGM on the 3 January 2018
The group held several actmties Indudlng aromatherapy,
Boccia, history talk's from local historians. library archive films.
We also held infomlation sessions from the PSNI. RNIB tech
offi￿r. a healthy eating programme and a group meeting with
local councillor.

The group also attended a lunch time recital by the Ulster
Orchestra in the Ulster Hall. We visited Bangor & Down
Museums.
The group had a collection day at ASDA Downpatrick to help
with raising funds.
The group also held their annual Christmas dinner with Slieve
Donard VIPS at the Burrendale Hotel in Newcastle.
7. The wup always regard to the Commission's Public Benefit whereby
The direct benefits which flow from puryose 2.1 includes access to facilities and
activities to improve educatio￿ health and wellbeing.
These benefits are dernonstrdt￿ through feedback from participants and
beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of servicLs. The purposes of our charlty
will not lead to any harni.
The charity's beneficiaries are people living in the I£cale ward areas of Newry,
Mourne and Down District Council
The direct benefits whicb flow from pufjx)se 2.2 includes giving people a
meeting place to maintain and manage with support from to gd together with
others to enjoy social interaction and to take part in activities of a social and
recreational nature. The participants learn new skills and share their own
knowledge and skills with each other. These benefits are demonstrated through
feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of
our activities. The purposes of our clwity will not lead to any harn].
The charity's beneficiaries are people living in the L£calc ward areas of Ncwry,
Mourne and Down DistTiCt Council.
