Purpose l ) Provide a programme of events for people who are
BlindNisually Irnpaired which will include infornthtion sessions regarding
benefits, healthy eating, health promotion and SI￿ posting to appropria
providers. W¢ will also address social exclusion and isolation for
Blindlvisually Impaired people living in rural ar￿. Help them to avail of
projects that encourage socialising and integration between themselves
and sighted adults without distAnction of age. sex, race, political, religious or
other opinion, by associating the statutory authoritics, voluntary
organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and
to provide facilities in the intert8ts of social welfare for recreation or oth¢r
leisure-time occupation with th¢ object of improving the conditions of life
for the said inhabitants;

Held AGM on the 4° January 2017
The group held several activities includlng pottery classes,
yoga, aromatherapy, drum therapy and information sessions
on home safety, benefits and fire prevention.
The group also attended a lunch time recital by the Ulster
Orchestra in the Ulster Hall.

The group also held their annual Christmas dinner with Slieve
Donard VIPS at the Burrendale Hotel in Newcastle.
7. The group atways regard to the Commission's Public Benefit whereby
Thc direct benefits whieh flow from purpose 2.1 includes access to facilitics and
activities to improve education, health and wellbeing.
These benefits are demonstrated through feedback frorn participants and
beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of services. The purposes of our charity
will not lead to any harni.
The charity's beneficiaries are people living in the Le￿Ie ward ar￿￿ of Newry,
Mourne and Down District Council
The direct benefits which flow from purw>se 2.2 includ¢s giving p￿pIc a
meeting place to n￿intain and manage with support from to get together with
others to enjoy social interaction and to take part in activities of a social and
recreational nature. The participants learn new skills and share their own
knowledge and skills with each other. These benefits are demonstrated through
feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the levd of uptake of
our activiti&s. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm.
The charity's beneficiaries are people livin8 in the Lecalc ward areas of Newry,
Mourne and Down District Council.
