FORESTSIDE CHURCH BELFAST ANNUAL TRUSTEES REPORT 2024

BUILDINGS & GROUDS:

We have continued to invest to maintain the church building & grounds; upgradingthe Sunday School room and planting Fruit & Vegetable plots running along the side of the grounds with a view to increase the plots in the incoming year. These are maintained on a weekly basis.

Minibus:

Work has been carried out to upkeep the minibus and getting it to a standard to pass the MOT.

Online Presence & Social Media:

We continue to invest in the outreach of the Church online by adding to the Camera’s for Broadcasting and increasingthe media team ministry in Camera/Sound/Graphics/Social Media & Worship. We have continued to upgrade IT Support/Media to expand our vision creatively.

Youth Ministry:

We have invested in Upgrading the Sunday School Room and Minor Hall, adding to the sports equipment (Air Hockey Table) for Pathway Youth Outreach. We continue to be committed to invest spiritually/socially/emotionally/physically/creatively into the Children & Young People in our care. We continue to train in child protection practices that promote safety, health, and wellbeing with all members of our church family.

Church Community:

As a community we continue to promote, support and encourage people from all age groups, cultures and cross community groups to be connected and flourish with the life of the church. Small groups/conferences/National & International speaking and worship events/one to one counselling for those international members who need support to settle into a new country.

Community Family Fun Day:

In August we were able to put on a free community event for families in the area.

Counselling:

We continue to provide Relationship/Marriage/Family/Leadership/Social & Financial Help to those within the Church and wider Community.

School Assemblies:

We continue to engage with the other 4 churches in the area to speak in the local schoolto allow health relationships to be build between church/schooV/and pupils.

Conferences/Worship Everts:

We have hosted Conferences/Worship events and Youth Leadership weekend with National and International conference speakers throughout the year. To build up, encourage and strengthen both church members, youth and the wider community.

Leadership Training:

We have hosted Summer Bible Study & Weekly Saints Bible Class to encourage Leadership potential for all ages.

Worship Leading/Choir:

We have continued to expand and invest in the music ministry and creative arts within the church. Investment in equipment and training are ongoing. We continue to support in house creative music and artist especially on social media platforms.

Hosting & Community Meals:

We are committed to providing free meals to the community/kids/seniors/wider community on a weekly basis.

Plans for 2025:

We plan to upgrade and improve the Buildings & Grounds with new Kitchen Alarm System/CCTV monitoring inside the building.

We would like to continue and expand our support of new families movingto Belfast. And the continued connection and growth of other cultures and nationalities with the church.

We would like to encourage leadership skills and creativity within the existing and new ministries in the church.
