Carrickfergus Central Primary School PTA Trustees Annual Report & Statement of Accounts 1 September 2024 — 31 August 2025 Page 2 ## Introduction The trustees of Carrickfergus Central Primary School Parent Teacher Association are pleased to submit their report and statement of accounts for the period 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025 ## Governing Document Carrickfergus Central Primary School Parent Teacher Association is governed by a constitution last amended on 1 June 2015. The trustees have had regard to the Commission’s public benefit requirement guidance. ## Beneficiaries Current pupils of Central Integrated Primary School, and their families. ## Purpose Carrickfergus Central Primary School Parent Teacher Association organise fundraising events throughout the school year. We help the school, Central Integrated Primary, purchase IT equipment, sports equipment, books and fund transport to events. Carrickfergus Central Primary School PTA Trustees Annual Report & Statement of Accounts 1 September 2024 — 31 August 2025 Page 3 ## Summary of Activities Carrickfergus Central Primary School Parent Teacher Association ran several events and fundraising activities during the year, raising a total of £1,807.36 after costs. Events included: - e Non-uniform and Christmas jumper days - e “Big Breakfast” on a morning before school - e Bright Lights Disco ® Quiz e Multicultural Fair Other fundraising activities included: - e Letters from Santa - e Raffles at Hallowe’en, Christmas and Easter - e Coin Challenge The association received an amounts of £75.16 from Easyfundraising and £131.23 from Asda Cashpot, which acts as ‘cashback’ schemes, at no cost to those who raise funds. The association donated funds to the school — Central Integrated Primary School, Carrickfergus — for several different items, including £2,494 towards purchasing a new suite of chrome books to help improve computer literally of pupils. The donations will improve the school for current and future pupils. Gifts from Santa were also funded for every child at the school for Christmas, and purchased medals and participations ribbons for sports day. There was no need this year to supply money to the heating fund to help families in need with electricity and heating costs. The association ended the financial year with positive reserves of £1,807.36, whish is a reduction on the previous years figure of £2,614.58. This is not a concern due to the amount of money donation to the school throughout the year and purchasing of items for sports day. The association's governance costs remain modest, at approx. £140.00 per annum. The trustees would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local businesses, parents and other family members, staff members and other friends of our school community for their support during this financial year. **----- Start of picture text -----**
