Independent Examiners Report Year Ended 31" December 2022
I report on the accounts of Loughinisland Parish Church for the year ended 31 December 2022,
which are set out on pages 6-8.
Respective Responsibilities of the Select Vestry and Examiner
The Select Vestry is responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The select vestry consider that
an audit is not required forthis year on the relevant legislation and that an Independent
examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to
Examine the accounts underthe relevant legislation
To follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity
Commission.
To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of an Independent Examiners Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the parish, and
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes the consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanation from the Select Vestry
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would
be required for an audit and consequently no opinion is given whether the accounts present a "true
and fair Vie￿ and the report 15 limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to
believe:
l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with the settion 63 of the Charities Act
2. That that the Accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the Accounts do not comply with the accounting records of the Charities Act
4. That there is further infomiation needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached.
Independent Examiners Ststement
l Have completed my examination and have no concems in respett of the matters 14 as listed above,
and in connection wtth following in the Directions of the Charity Commission for Nl, I have found no
matters that require drawing your attention.
