Members of the chai-itable coinpany guarantee to contribute an amount not exceeding £ I to th¢ assets of the charitable
company in the event of winding up.
Charitable objects
The pi'inciple activity of the chai'itable coinpany is lo provide a community facility in the village of Donemana, accessible
to all local groups. In doing so they aiin to achieve greater ci'oss community contact, iniprove community relalions and a
greater understanding ai)d lolei'ance of the cultural history of the area of Doneinana.
Doneinana Cultui'al Association Limited is a I'egistered chai'ity with th¢ Chai-ity Commission for Northei-n Ireland since 3
November 2015, under registration iiumber NIC103583.
Organisatioiial structure
The day to day Inaiiagement of the charitable company is cari'ied out by the Chaii'man and Treasui'er, supported and
overseen by the othei. trustees.
Review of activities and achievements
The Statemciit of Financial Activities on page 5 of Ihe financial statements sets out the I'esults for the year. The pui'p05e
of the funds al'e outlined in the notes to the financial statements.
The charitable coinpany is cunEntly developing a local history museuin and aims to market this once it becomes fully
opei'alional. It continues to attract intei'est from the local cominunity and al'e currently workiiig on a nuinber of projects
to enhance the building foi. coininunily use.
The considered view of tl)e ti'ustees is that, aftei. Inaking enquiries, they have a reasonable expectation that the charitable
coinpany will have adequate I'esources available to finance ils trading and other obligations for the for¢s¢¢abl¢ future. The
ti'ustees are not aware of any events likely to occur in the Iw¢lv¢ months following the sate of the approval of the financial
stateinents tliat may impact on the cliaritable company's ability to continue as a going coi)cei'i). We believe that it is
tlierefoi'e appropi-iate for Ihe charitabl¢ COlT]pany's financial statements foi. the yeai. ended 31 July 2023 to have been
prepared on a going concei'n basis.
Reserves
The Stateinent of Financial Activities on page 5 of the financial statements sets out the I'esults foi. the year. The pui'pose
of the funds al'e outlined in the notes to the financial stateinents.
Taxation
The ¢liaritable company is accepted as a charity by HM Revenue & Customs ui)der refereiice XT21191 and therefore is
exempt froin corporation tax.

Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
The financial statements are pi'epared under tlie histoi'ical cost convention and in accordance with Accounting
and Reporting by Chai'ities.. Stateinent of Recommended Practice (FRS 102, 'The Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ir¢land')
The charity has taken advantage of the exemption in FRS 102 Section IA fi-om th¢ I'equirement to pi'oduce a
cashflow stateinent because it is a small Chai'ity.
The pi'esentation curi'ency of these financial statements is sterling.
3.2. Incoming resources
Inconie from donations and grants, including capital grants, is included in incoining i'esoui'ces when these are
I'eceivable, except as follows..
When donors specify that donation5 and grants given to Ihe charity must be used in future accounting pei'iods,
the income is deferred until those p¢i'iods.
When donors impose conditions which have to be fitlfilled before the chai'ily becomes entitled to use such
incoine, the ii)come is deferred and not included in ii)coming I'esour¢es until the pre-conditions for use have been
met.
When donors specify that doiialioiis and gi'ants, including capital grants, are foi. a paiticulai. resti'icted purposes,
which do not ainount to pre-conditions I'egarding entitleinent, this income is included in incoming resources of
restricted funds when receivable.
The value of services provided by volunteers has not been included.
Other income is recognised in ihe year li) which receivable.
Interest receivable
Inleiest is included on a receivables basis by the charity.

3.4. Resources expended
Expenditure is recogni5ed on an acci'uals basis as a liability 15 incurred. Expenditure includes VAT which the
company is ineligible to recover, and is repoited as part of the expenditure to wl)ich it relates.
Chai'itable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and services
for its beneficiaries. It includes both costs thal can be allocated directly to such activities and those costs of an
indii'ecl nature necessary to support thein.
3.5. Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets costing moi'¢ than £500 are capitalised and included at their purchase costs, tog¢th¢i' with
ai)y incidental expenses of acquisition.
Depi'eciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost less residual value of each asset over its expected
useful life, as follows:

No depreciation is charged until the assets are brought into use by the company.
The cai-rying values of tangible fixed assets are I'eviewed annually for impairment if events or changes in

Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds relate to general funds which are available for use at the discretion of Ihe trustees in
furtherance of the general objectives of tlie charity and which have not been designated for othei. purposes.
Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions iinposed by donoi's or
which have been raised by Ihe chai'ily for pai'ticular puiposes. The cost of I'aising and administerii)g such funds
are chai'ged against the specific fund. The aiin and use of each restricted fund is sel out in the notes to the
financial statements.
3.7. Taxation
The company is registered as a charity for tax purposes under refei'ence XT21191.
As a chai'ity, Donemana Cultural Association Limited is exempt from tax on iiicoine and gains falling within
Section 505 of the Taxes Act 1988 01. Section 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992 to the extent
that these are applied to its charitabl¢ objects. No tax charges have therefore ai'isen for the company for the year
ended 31 July 2023.
Impairment
A I'eview foi. indicators of impairment is caiTied out at each reporting date, with the I'ecoverable amount being
estimated whei'e such indicatoi's exist. Where the carrying value exceeds tlie I'ecoverable amouiit, the asset is
impaired accordingly. Prior impainnents are also reviewed for possible I'evei'sal at each i'eportii)g date.
When it is not possible to estiinate the recovei'able amount of an individual asset, an estimate is made of the
recoverable amount of the cash-genei'ating unit to which the asset belongs. The cash-gen¢rating unit is the
sIDallest identifiable gi'oup of assets that iiicludes the asset and geiierales cash inflows that are largely
indepeiident of Ihe cash inflows fi'om other assets or gi'oups of assets.

Financial assets that are measiired at cost or amorti5ed cost are reviewed for objective evid¢nc¢ of impaii'ment at
the end of each I'epoiting dal¢. If there is objective evidence of impairinent, an impaii-ment loss is i-ecognised in
pi'ofit or loss iminediately.
For all equity instrumeiits regardless of significance, and other financial assels that are individually significant,
these are assessed individually foi. impairment. Other financial assets oi. either assessed individually oi. gi'ouped
011 the basis of similai. credit I'i5k chai'acteristics.
Any reversals of impairment are recognised in profil or loss immediately, to the extent that the reversal does not
result in a cai'rying amount of the financial asset that exceeds what the carrying amount would have been had the

Going concern
In common wilh all community group's in Noithern Ireland, the company continues to experience difficulty in
securing long tenn ￿nding.
The Trustees are continuing io work on a number of projects to enhance the buiding for community use to
generate more income, together with taking steps lo minimise ovei'heads, therefore consider that the coinpany can
continue to meet its objectives for the incoming year and that it is appi'opriate for the financial stalements to be
pi'epai'ed on the going concern basis.
