ARDCLINIS PARISH CHURCH Notes to the accounts for the ear 31 December 24 ACCOUNTING POLICIES (a) Basis of financial statements As the total income of the congregation 15 belween £250,000 and £500,000, In accordance with the provision5 in The Charlties Accounts and Reports Regulations (Northern Ireland )2015 its Accounts are prepared on an accrual basis (b) Fund Accounting Endowment funds are funds ,the capital of which must be retained either permanently or at the congregation's discretion,the income derived from the endowment is to be used either as a restricted or unrestricted income funds depending upon which the purpose for which the endowment was estsblished in the first place Restricted funds comprise of income whlch can only be expended on the restricted purposes intended by the donor Unrestricted funds are income funds which are to be spent on the congregation'5 general purposes. (c ) Balance Sheet The assets of the Parish ,retained for its own use are comprised as follows The Church Building and Graveyard at Largy Road Carnlough The Church Hall at Croft Road Carnlough The Ardclinis Rectory The Church Building and Graveyard are deemed to be Heritage Assets as defined by the Charitles SORP(FRS102). These Herltage Assets are not therefore included in the Balance Sheet. The Church Hall and Ardclinis Rectory is included within the Accounts at a value determined by the Insurance Broker Page 7
