ARDCLINIS PARISH CHURCH o the accounts for the ear ended l December 2022 ACCOUNTING POLICIES (a) Basis of financial statements As the total income of the congregation is between £250,000 and £500,000, in accordance with the provisions in The Charities Accounts and Reports Regulations (Northern Ireland )2015 its Accounts are prepared on an accrual basis (b) Fund Accounting Endowment funds are funds ,the capital of which must be retained either permanently or at the congregation's discretion,the income derived from the endowment is to be used either as a restrirted or unrestricted income funds depending upon which the purpose for which the endowment was established in the first place Restrirted funds comprise of income which can only be expended on the restricted purposes intended by the donor . Unrestricted fvnds are income funds which are to be spent on the congregation's general purposes. (c ) Balan Sheet The assets of the Parish ,retained for its own use are comprised as follows The Church Building and Graveyard at Largy Road Carnlough The Church Hall at Croft Road Carnlough The Ardclinis Rectory The Church Building and Graveyard are deemed to be Heritage Assets as defined by the Charities SORP(FRS102). These Heritage Assets are not therefore included in the Balance Sheet. The Church Hall and Ardclinis Rettory is included within the Accounts at a value determined by the Insurance Broker Page 7
