An Other Business - None Chairperson Secretary BEES NEES WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THANKS TO THOSE WHO SUPPORTED US OR HAVE HELPED US DURING THE PAST YEAR All new policies and procedures have been updated and continue to be relevant to new legislation. Safeguarding pro forma no requirement from ETI to complete this year but for good practi￿ staff will go over file and update regarding new legislation. Trust inspection end of June very positive The setting is well resourced with careful and thoughtful p5anning evident to maximise the learning experience for the children attending. Our aim is to bring about a positive learning environment for all children within Bees Nees from Breakfast club right through to Out of Schools. Staff have worked on developing a creative indoor and outdoor environment and learning through play is our main objective. These children are the Alfa children pre 2010 which means they have so much virtual media input. So, we as a staff team need to plan our programme to meet the needs of all our children. We encourage our children's curiosity by providing them with rich learning places to explore and discover their sense of wonder, If you and your child like our service, please do PR our centre like and share our face book page and website and leave a review. Thank You Emma on keeping our website up and running and is managing this effectively with creating more interest with people who don't know about our service When you become a board member this gives you the opportunity support from you as parents to help with our fundraising events throughout the year, We would personally like to thank the board and staff for all input and time given to Bees Nees over this year. Challenges this year is recruiting and keeping staff this needs to be addressed from government level regarding wages, Our staff meetings have been interactive with all staff getting involved in sharing good practice and how best we can integrate this in our centre from training attended. We nurture creative thinkers within in our vison and environments and all staff and stakeholders strive to implement, Partnerships In order for us to continue our work and develop we do fundraise each tenm and encourage our parents to get involved i.e., Christmas hamper, sponsored bunny bounce, dan￿ a thon etc. Our next fundraiser will be Christmas hampers and Christmas concert sing a long so please support us. I would like to thank all staff as this has been a hard year with staff moving on to other jobs and recruitment has been challenging and staff have been accommodating with giving up their time to cover when needed and staff are loyal and dedicated in all that they do for providing the best quality learning environment for Bees Nees Early Years Centre. The support from the board is of great benefit as without their hard work and dedication the ￿ntre could not survive. Funding AGM October 2 24Pr rdinators R We currently have 22 funded Pre-school children enrolled in the pre-school session along with our Pre-pre children this brings us up to 26 attending each day. We have covered getting to know you theme, autumn and Halloween are our themes for October we will also pick up on the interests of the children. We continually evaluate the children's play and areas such as the layout of the room Our planning system links directly to our observations. It also links in the voice of the child and needs of the children. We have continued to develop our continuous play provision as we embed this fully into practice. The play has been enhanced in these areas and the children are really benefiting from quality experiences. Continuous play provision remains our focus for development this year. We will continue to self-evaluate and work towards achieving our development goals as the year goes on. Another area for development is our Special Educational Needs provision and training. Over the years the level of children with additional needs in the pre-school sector has continued to rise, we as a ￿ntre aim to provide the best possible care and learning for all of children to reach their full potential, with this goal in mind we aim to enhance our knowledge through training that we can then implement in practice. Staff continue their professional development, our training with CAPS Peer support will focus on Continuous Play Provision as we work with others to gain full understanding of what this means in practice and how the children's learning experien￿ is benefited. All the Pre-school staff have current child protection and first aid traini ng. Through Getting Ready to Learn including The BIG Bedtime Read will build partnership with our children's families. We will also continue to build links with the local schools. Our overall aim is to provide a rich pre-school eduo?tion for the children who attend Bees Nees. We have two new members of the staff team this year Emma Todd and Stephanie Gowdy they are working as SEND support and we welcome them to Bees Nees. I would also like to thank Jani￿, Leanne. Leeann, and the pre-school staff team Joanne, Claire, Fiona for their support over the past year. Daphne Nicholl
