## Activities

**Purposes:** The Association is established to support any charitable project for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Arch Diocese of Blantyre and its environs in Malawi (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion who are in need of assistance as a result of their poverty or social and economic circumstances and in particular to:  a)	relieve poverty and hunger in the area of benefit by any charitable means and in particular the provision of grants and training to enable poor people to establish and maintain projects which will enable them to relieve their own poverty;  b)	advance education by the provision of facilities and grants with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit;   c)	promote the preservation of health of the people in the area of benefit by the provision of equipment, medicines, training and other similar resources.
