2022-08-31-annual-report

Good Evening Ladies,

You are all very welcome to our 9[th] AGM. Can you believe Ladies of Mourne will be 10 years in existence next year 2024. Like all other years we have had a busy time and I will go through what we have been up to since our AGM last year.

We had a few outings: Balmoral Show in May; Three Hail Marys in Dublin in June; The American Folk Park in September; Bridesmaids in Armagh in November; Christmas in December; Lunch in The Burrendale in January, Menopause the Musical in Armagh in May and Hillsborough in June.

At our monthly meetings we had Linda from Hilltop doing window boxes; Sandra from Colour me Beautiful; Helene from Mourne First Responders talking about their work in the Community; Margaret from The Wool Shop with a crochet demonstration; Jennifer with a felting workshop; Adele from Beauty Within with an acupuncture demonstration; Catherine Murnion talking about Mindfulness; Spring Planters with Barry McVeigh; Eileen McCusker did a great story telling evening and Catherine Lynch talking about Safety in the home. In November we all brought food items and these were left in to Cornerstone Foodbank in Kilkeel. This replaced the Shoe Box Appeal which we had contributed to for a number of years.

We also had a Beetle Drive, Computer Classes with Vicky McAteer of SRC; Crochet Classes with Margaret of the Wool Shop and Chair Yoga with Csilla.

Thank you ladies for attending these events.

I also wish to extend my thanks to Joseph and Niall for setting up the room for us during the year; to Kathy Gallagher for her attendance here this evening to oversee the election of officers for the incoming year and for her help during the year. Also a big big thank you to our Committee for all their help and advice.

Enjoy the rest of the evening girls and we will see you all again please God in September.

Anne
