Mountpottinger Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church Charity Number: NIC 103537 Trustees Annual Statement for the year 2023 The trustees of Mountpottinger Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church, Belfast are pleased that the 2023 Annual Reports of the Secretary, Treasurer and Property Manager provide confirmation that "the artivities of the charity to further its charitable purposes for the public benefit have been met during the year" These reports were tabled and agreed at the Annual General Meeting which took place on 7th April of 2024. There has been a change since the 2022 Trustees report as one of the Trustees, Mrs Rita th Kirkpatrick, died in May of 2023. At a meeting of the congregation on 5 November 2023, it was agreed that Very Rev Robert McKee would be appointed to serve as Trustee of the Church. With regard to the main Church activities, there have been morning Services held on the first Sunday of every month in the Little Theatre of the building. The most important matter during the year in the life of the Mountpottinger Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church congregation was the Ordination and Installation of a new Minister, Rev. Paul Jeffrey on 2, August 2023. Also, in respect th of the Church building, there was the formal signing of a 50-year Lease at a meeting on 12 January 2023 when the Church Trustees granted their consent to the Trustees of the Bright Umbrella Drama Company, BUDCO for the shared use of the property. The representative to Presbytery, Adrian Moir, regularly attended quarterly meetings and gave reports on matters connetted with the church including the Lease granted to BUDCO 50 that Presbytery was fully aware of the congregation's situation. The future of Mountpottinger Church is linked into the on-going co-operation with the Drama Company, BUDCO, who manage the property under the terms of a long-term Lease and they will attract capital grants and external funding to renovate the building into a multi-functional space for theatre performances for the general public as well as Sunday worship for the congregation. The frontage of the property displays "Sanctuary Theatre" signage above the main door and a plaque at the side door shows the history and continued connection with Mountpottinger Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church.
