Mountpottinger Non-subscrlbing Presbyterlan Church Charity Number: NIC 103537 Trustees Annual Statement for the year 2022 The trustees of Mountpottinger Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church, Belfast are pleased that the 2022 Annual Reports of the Secretary, Treasurer and Property Manager provide confirmation that "the activities of the charity to further its charitable purposes for the public benefit during the year have been mey,. These reports were tabled and agreed at the Annual General Meeting which took place on 2nd April of 2023. With regard to the main attivities, there was only one Communion Service during the year, in November, as the Communion planned for May clashed with the Belfast City Marathon event that required Castlereagh Street to be closed off. The main event during the 2022 th year was the Visitation of Presbytery on 27 April 2022 which had been postponed from 2020 due to the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. There was one Meeting of Church Trustees on 14th June 2022 to give their consent for the signing of a Lease with the Bright Umbrella Drama Company, BUDCO, for the shared use of the property. The representative to Presbytery, Adrian Moir, regularly attended quarterly meeting5 and gave reports on matters connected with the church so that Presbytery is fully aware of the congregation's situation. A Visitation by the Presbytery of Bangor took place on 27th April 2022 and all Reports given by the Commissioners were favourable. The future of Mountpottinger Church is linked into the on-going co-operation with the Drama Company, BUDCO, who manage the property under the terms of a long-term Lease and will attract capital grants from external Funding sources to renovate the building into a multi-functional space for theatre performances for the general public as well as Sunday worship. The frontage of the property has been changed with "Sanctuary Theatre" signage above the main door and a plaque at the side door to show the history and connection with Mountpottinger Non-subscribing Presbyterian Church. The formal consent for Leasing the th property was granted by Presbytery of Bangor at Ballyhemlin on 25 May 2022 and the consent of the Non-subscribing Presbyterian Trustees was granted at Dunmurry on 14th June 2022. The property Lease was due to be signed in December 2022 but had to be postponed until January 2023 because of a health issue with one of the signatories.
