Although Department For Communi+es is our biggest funder and we are very grateful for their con+nued support to help to elevate the pressures that communi+es in depriva+on struggle with each day, we also would like to thank other funders who supported our charity this year with other programmes too:
Belfast City Council: Medium Grant - We were supported through Belfast City Council to develop ac+vi+es and events in the local area such as delivering Christmas and Halloween events for the whole of the community. Young people and older people were also supported with this grant for health programmes to enhance emo+onal well being and fitness levels.
Clear Project PHA - Supported the Mens Minds Ma]er NI group with training programmes in Drug and Alcohol Awareness and also with Suicide Preven+on Training along with some group ac+vi+es to local historical sites, and spor+ng ac+vi+es like Crazy Golf and Bowling.
Asda Founda+on: This grant was again for the Mens Minds Ma]er NI group to help them to a]ract more members to their newly formed group by providing a Christmas party and Christmas Dinner. The James Brown Founda+on complimented this funding by providing a 12 week cooking on a budget programme and provided kitchen equipment that the men used then to cook their Christmas Dinner.
Hanwood Trust: Support for the local community to help with the cost of living crisis by suppor+ng a social supermarket were residents were able to avail of food parcels and cleaning materials, the local churches also got involved with this and provided extra cleaning materials as they are costly.
Awards for All funding: Provided for the Queens Jubilee Party in the Park which was paid in March 23 but programme did not take place un+l the next financial year.
CFNI - ARN founda+on: A programme for older people to help with the cost of living crisis, supported was given over the winer months by providing hot food, soup, food bags and heat packs along with ou+ngs of interest, that encouraged par+cipa+on and reduced social isola+on. These ou+ngs also reduced the running costs in older peoples homes as they were out of their houses instead of using their own gas and electric. We also held art programmes in our local community centre as well.
