**Purposes:** The group is established to relieve poverty, to advance education and to preserve and protect the health of women in Rasharkin and its environs regardless of age, sexuality, nationality, ethnic origin, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the said women in a common effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said women.
