Rlverslde and Blackhill Communlty Association For the year ended 31" March 2024 Trustees Report oses and Ob"ertlves of Riverside and BlackhS11 Commun Association The Association is established for the advancement of community development and active citizenship for the public benefit of the inhabitant5 of RNerside and Blackhill and district (hereinafter referred to as the 'area of benefiy) by the following means: . working with relevant agencies to improve the services and facilities for local people- the provision of events and activities for the public benefit of the inhabitants of Riverside and Blackhill. The objective is to run a number of different activities for the residents in our community. We hope to improve the services and facilities in our estate for our residents. Achlevements and Perfomiance In setting our objectives and planning our actlvlttes for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission Nl's guidan￿ on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charivs purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries. Throughout the year Riverside and Blackhill Community Associatlon carrled out the followln8 artlvltles: A family Summer trip to 'We are Vertigo, and 'Cineworld'. Easter eggs were provided children within the estate. Christmas vouchers were provided to residents. Attend Housing CommunSty Network and Interagency meetings and group members attended Estate Inspection with local Housing Execirtive staff and Statutory Agencies to lobby for improvements to our estste. The Trustees have had due regard to the Commission's Public Beneflt requirement and no harm was caused in the provision of above activities. Flnanclal Revlew During the year funding was again primarily generated through our weekly bonus ball fundraiser, which 8enerated £1090, and funding was also received from Mid Ulster District Council £224. Our total receipts foT the year amounted to £1314. We made payments in total to the value of £2136.44 leaving us with a bank balance at the end of 31" March 2024 of £2874.07.
