Activities
The objects of the Company are to promote the efficiency and development of the Voluntary Sector for the benefit of the Community through the advancement of education, training, science and research, particularly in the fields of leadership, management skills and good practice. Voluntary Sector - shall have the meaning Charities and Community and Voluntary Organisations. Charities - shall have the meaning organisations which are established for exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the law in Northern Ireland. Community and Voluntary Organisations - shall have the meaning independent organisations which are established for the purposes that add value to the community as a whole, or a significant section of the community, and which are not permitted by their constitution to make a profit for private distribution. Voluntary organisations do not include local government or other statutory authorities.
