Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner As the charity's trustee of The Lifeboat Mission (and also ils directors for the purpose5 of company law) you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2008. Having satisfied myself that the accounts of The Lifeboat Mission are not required to be audited under section 65 of Charities Act (Northern) Ireland 2008 and thal an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:. examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid dom in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act to state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basis of Independent Ex¥miners' Report I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
