BRAINWAVES NI Independent Examiner's Report of the Committee of Brainwaves Northern Ireland We report on the accounts for the year ended 31 August 2022, which are set out on pages 3 and 4. Respective responsibilities of committee and examiner The charity's committee consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 65(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) and that an independent examination is needed. To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 65(9}(bl of Ihe Act) To state whether particular matters have come to our attention. Basis of independent examiner's report Our examination was carried out in accordance with general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as committee members concerning any such matters. The prO￿dureS undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, no opinion is given as to whether the accounls present a 'true and fair, view. Turnover Income of The Charity represenls monies re￿iVed from donations and bank interest. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation Depreciation is provided at rales calculated to write off the costless residual value of each asset over its expected useful life, as follows..
