The purpose of the charity is to butld confidence and improve tnusical knowledgc and understanding enabling all to lake a more acrive role in ihe communiry in which they live. It should enable people of all ages 10 engage in musical and social activity. thereby learning new skills and affording them the opportunity to further develop interaction within the community. The main beneficiaries of this PUTpose are the people living in the P0yntZp&￿￿a￿kethIll area of County Arn)agh although the work of the balld impaLlS througbout Nonhern Irelan(L In 2022-2023 the band's activities increased with a number of young people joining the band for thc r￿s1 time. The trusiees are encouraged by the progress they are making in not only their musical knowledge but also their 50C5al interaction with all other members of th¢ band. The band continues to develop its partnership arrangement wilh Althaveigh Memorial Pipe Band from Newry. AlIna￿eigh Pipe Band ha5 SUPPOrted us in a number of areas, including tuition and at S￿la1 cvents. The co-operdtion be(￿'Cen the two ban(Ls has been an inspiration to all members of the Tyrone's Dilches Band and afforded them the opportunity to dcvclop new skills as well as developing social inierdctio The band was successfvl in obtaining funding from DAERA for additional iDstNments. The band was represented at a total of 22 events during the year including: Remembrancc Scrvices {2) Twelfth of July and RBP services 2nd cvcnts 4 Church Services

The band organises a Church service in Cremore Presbyterian Church ar￿uallY. with a collection being iaken up for charity. A eheque for £700 was presenTed to the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice. The band organised major fund raising events. namely a Bingo night and a Tr¢asure Hunt. The ac(ivities of the band have impacted on a wide i'ariety of people with in the wider arca. Thc band rcceii'ed correspondence from a number of bcncfactors thanking th¢m for their contribution to local cultural and social events. All of this work is undenaken without remLmeration and it is imporwit to nole the contribution being made by the n￿lly volunteers within the organisalion. The trusiees are pleased thac the band has been able to demonstrate increased leaming of the skills involved in highland piping and drnmming while at the same time developing social and communicat&on skills of all memlxrs. ¢5p¢cially thos¢ who have joined recently. One band member undertook child protection COUTses, Iwo membeTS undertook marshalling training and ihree members completed f(M)d hygiene training. Thus metnbcrs haN'c gaincd skills which call bc trallsfcrred to other settings. While these are private ben¢fits they are incidental to the public benefit. The trustees are content that the finances of the band are maintstned and ￿Ported in a satisfactory manner. There are regular Upda￿ at the committee meetings, which are held monthly (Septernber to June). Minutes of these meetings are recorded and duly signed by the Chairperson. The Annual Genernl Meeting is held in accordance with the regulations documcntcd in thc Constitution. In settkllg our objectives and pla[￿Illg our activities for the year the trnst¢es have given ¢ar¢ful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the aciivities have belped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.
