## **Causeway Borough of Sanctuary Group - Charity Number - 103454 - Trustees Report - 2022**

## **About the Charity**

Our group promotes the inclusion and welfare of all newcomers to the Causeway area. We work mainly through contacts with local communities, voluntary, community and faith organisations in welcoming and assisting all target beneficiaries regardless of their ethnicity, race, nationality, religious affiliation, gender or sexual orientation. We celebrate the contribution of target beneficiaries to the local community and challenge hostility and discrimination against them. We seek to work in partnership with a range of local, statutory, community and voluntary agencies in the Borough to respond to identified community need and concerns.

## **How the Charity is funded**

The charity has been funded this year from remaining monies raised by church donations/ fundraising events and a further donation from a local church.

We also co-ordinated via email/ WhatsApp messages a drop of Christmas presents for local Syrians in December 2021 in partnership with the voluntary teacher group.
