The Cormac Trust was created to raise
awarene55, educate and inform the public
about Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young,
which is often known as SADS1Sudden Adult
Death Syndrome, or Sudden Arrhythmic Death
Syndrome}; to promote screening for SADS; arsd
to help provide defibrillators and CPR and
defibrillator trainin8 for sports, clubs and rural
and isolated communities.
The name of any person, or body of
persons• permitted by the trusts of the
charity to appoint one or more new
charity trustees and a descrlption of the
method used to make such appointments
The trustees of the Cormac Trust may
appoint new trustees.
Trustees are appointed to meet the skills,
knowledge and experience needed for
the effective administration of the
charitv.
Every trustee must be appointed by
resolution of the trustees pa55ed at a
special meeting.

We, The Cormac Trust, together with The
Cormac Trust Ltd. {Company Number
N1630800), has continued to raise
awareness of SADS, and how to combat
it. by using the media and social media,"
we have given talks to schools, 5ports'
clubs, social clubs and communities.

We employed one part-time worker, to
further our aims, and to help the
administrative running of the Trust in
2023.
During the last 20 years more than 300
automated external defibrillators (AEDS)
were subsidised or donated to sports
clubs, community group5, schools,
universities and emergency services. And
some 2,500 volunteers trained to use
AEDS and CPR in emergency situations.
We networked with and supported local,
national and international 8roups to help
raise awareness, advance the
understanding of SADS and help raise
funds for further study.
We worked with individuals and families
affected by SADS by providing
information on SADS as well as screening
and by offering continued emotional
support.
We worked with cardiologists, doctors
and other medical personnel to educate
ourselves and others, on SAD5 and
screening, especially for families and
individuals affected by SADS.
The office was manned 3 days per week
from 10am to 1:30pm to deal with all
queries on training and the provision of
AEDS.
In February 2024 it was announced, that
the after 20 years, the activities of The
Cormac Trust would be ceasing.
A review of the charity's financial
position at the end of the year
With the continued generosity of the public and
the trustee's wise stewardship of the finances,
the running costs of the charity and The
Cormac Trust Ltd have been met. The trustees
are very mindful of maintainin8 3 low-cost base
so that the majority of the income received can
be put to use for the furtherance of the
charity's purpose.

2023 was a reflective year for the trustees and
the decision was made to bring the activities of
The Cormac Trust to a close.
The remaining charity funds will be used to
further the charity's purpose for the public
benefit.
