The CormacTrust was created to raise
awareness, educate and inform the public
about Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young,
which is often known as SADS (Sudden Adult
Death Syndrome, or Sudden Arrhythmic Death
Syndrome); to promote screening for SADS; and
to help provide defibrillators and CPR and
defibrillator training for sports, clubs and rural
and isolated communities.

persons, permitted by the tru5t5 of the
charlty to appoint one or more new
charity trustees and a description of the
method used to make such appointments
The trustees of the Cormac Trust may
appoint new trustees.
Trustees are appointed to meet the skills,
knowledge and experience needed for
the effective administration of the
harity.
Every trustee must be appointed by
resolution of the trustee5 passed at a
special meeting.

We, The Cormac Trust, together with The
Cormac Trust Ltd. (Company Number
N1630800}, has continued to raise
awareness of SADS, and how to combat
it, by using the media and social media-
we have given talks to Schools, sports,
clubs, social clubs and communities.

We employ one part-time worker, to
further our aims. and to help the
administrative running of the Trust.
We have trained 93 people in CPR & AED
and helped source 11 defibrillators for
business, community groups and sports
clubs.
We continue to network with and
support local, national and international
groups to help raise awareness, advance
the understanding of SADS and help raise
funds for further study.
We continue to work with individuals and
families affected by SADS by providing
information on SADS as well as screening
and by offering continued emotional
support for as long as needed.
We continue to work with cardiologists,
doctors and other medical personnel to
educate ourselves and others. on SADS
and screening, especially for families and
individuals affected by SADS.
The office is manned 3 days per week
from 10am to 1:30pm to deal with all
queries on training and the provision of
AEDS.
A review of the charity's financial
position at the end of the year
With the continued generosity of the public and
the trustee's wise stewardship of the finances,
the running costs of the charity and The
Cormac Trust Ltd have been met. The trustees
are very mindful of maintaining a low-cost base
so that the majority of the income received can
be put to use for the furtherance of the
charit¢s purpose.
2022 was a quite year for the charity given the
sad passing of Mr Bredan McAnallen, one of the
founding trustees.
The charitVs finances are hea￿hy, and a 5-year
Strategic plan wa5 developed in 2016. Now
that the trust has reached the end of its 5 year
plan, the trustees are currently reflecting on
their achievements and considering their plan5
forthe future.
