Aims:
We at Dunloy Community Playgroup aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming
environment for children and young people within the local community. We will provide a
stimulating environment which will help to promote the holistic wellbeing of the children
and support them to their full potential.
We will provide a needed service within the local community to help support families by
providing a much-needed service.
Ethos
At Dunloy Community Playgroup we provide a stimulating environment in our purpose~built
unit which gives children opportunities to enjoy learning.
At Dunloy Community Playgroup we promote creativity and give children the opportunities
to be imaginative and critical thinkers.
We strive to help children develop confidence and independence. We provide a happy,
caring atmosphere where children feel safe and can develop and learn.
We promote high standards of behaviour and help children to understand and acknowledge
each other's feelings.
At Dunloy Community Playgroup children will learn to care for and respect themselves and
others and to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others.
We aim to involve parents and carers in their child's learning as we believe that the child's
learning journey and their personal achievements is something we strive to be a part of.
Summar
of term
The group is run by parents and other invested local members of the community. We are
fortunate this year to have two retired principals joining our committee Noel Mccann
elected Chairperson, maire Buckley elected Vice-chairperson along with a newly appointed
treasurer Dana Dixon who works with fi'nances and a parent representative, alongside a

newly appointed Secretary Miclielle O'mullan, primary teacher and parent representative.
