Annual Report 2023
Due to Coronavirus, the organisation has had a complete cessation of any activities that were public but are now operating as normal again.
The Association’s Committee meetings continued online with the addition of new members, which is a great boost for the area.
Representatives continued to attend the Inter-Agency “walkabouts” where issues were identified and added to the Inter-Agency Action Plan.
The Association were successful in receiving funds to help during the lockdown period(s). The funding was received from Fermangh & Omagh District Council’s COVID Recovery fund. The association highlighted individuals/families that were in need and funds were used to purchase essential items.
As on ongoing effort to maintain the area, the Association organised 3 “Litter-Pick” days for the area. They were a great success and the group plans to apply to Live Here, Love Here in order to continue and expand on the work already started.
A new walking group has been formed in the area and is proving to be very successful, with the group walking 2 nights per week (Tuesday/Thursday).
The association are also applying to Council for support for local Fun Day and for running costs (including insurance).
I would like to thank all my fellow committee members for their support during this tough time and to all our funders and agencies that work with us throughout the year.
