In December our pantomime, now a prominent feature of the city's Christmas hls = = a_ im] en = ~_T vt a , * festivities, was "Sleeping Beauty" and it played out to near sell out audiences. We ee De. a ee | 



With regard to audience figures we estimate that the total numbers attending
our three main staged events throughout year was in the region 6000.
In addition to these main events the Society staged a number of concerts
ra isi ng f unds for local charities.
71Organisation Structure: The management committee is responsible for the
day to day running of the Society is elected at the Annual General Meeting
(AGM) in June.
Totalling twelve in number each member is responsible for a specific function,
for example; vice-chair, secretary, treasurer, stage manager, music secretary,
ticket secretary, production manager, social representative, publicity &
business manager, youth society representative; all responsible to the
chairperson whose role is to oversee all the committee activities; when
considered necessary the committee is supported by appropriate sub-
committees.
The Management Committee meets on a monthly basis during the
performance period, mainly between September and May.
The activities of the Youth Society, operating during the summer period, are
managed by a youth society sub-committee led by the chairperson and the
Youth Sociews Representative on the Management Committee.
8/Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities: As trustees the management
committee are responsible for preparing the Trustee's Report and the
statement of receipts and payments in accordance with applicable law and
regulations.
The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient
to show and explain the Society's transactions and disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the assets and liabilities of the Society and hence for
taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregu larities.
