Tyrone, BT70 3DL Nl Charity Commission Number: NIC103429 Annual Report DDCA Annual Report and Accounts for the period l Aprll 2023 to 31 March 2024 Charity Activities and Review of the Year Donaghmore District Community Association {DDCA) continues to manage The Torrent Complex as a vital community hub, addressing rural isolation and empowering individuals and groups across the local area. The Complex remains central to community life, providing inclusive opportunities for participation, connection and development. Throughout this reporting period, we have reviewed and adapted our activities and projects to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our community. We work with older people, young people, families, individuals with disabilities and those without, embracing all genders, backgrounds and traditions. Delivery includes a diverse programme of activities within the buildin& alongside outreach initiatives across the wider rural hinterland. During this year, DDCA further enhanced its facilities and community programmin& maintaining strong partnerships with local groups and statutory agencies to improve the quality and accessibility of services in the area. The Torrent Complex continued to deliver a broad range of health and fitness Opportunities, including over 30 fitness classes per week. Our afterschool attivities supported more than 400 children of all abilities, with programmes such as Gymnastics, Judo and Football remaining particularly popular. The Complex facilities are used weekly for recreational activities, and we continue to provide sporting access for six local schools. Basketball, Netball, S-a-side football and Gaelic Football were consistently well attended throughout the year. We organised and facilitated a variety of cross-community programmes and events, including walking.groups, Festive Sunday, Multi-sport Camps, coffee mornings, parent and toddler groups, Torrent Buddies (supporting children with additional needs), and the 50+ Club. Additional Multi-sport Camps delivered during school holidays were again met with strong demand and posltive feedback from families. The over 50s community continued to grow during this period. Building on its initial launch, the project further addressed isolation, loneliness and social inclusion among older residents in our rural community. Participation levels have remained strong, and the project continues to act as a catalyst for building meaningful, face-to-face social connections acr055 a range of shared interests and activities. All artivities delivered at The Torrent Complex remain fully inclusive and accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of background, ability, age or religious belief.

Charity Commission Public Benefit Requirement In setting the objectives and planning activities for the year, the Trustees have given due regard to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit. They are satisfied that the activities undertaken during this reporting period have furthered the charity's purposes and provided tangible benefit to the community we serve. Financial Performance For the year ended 31 March 2024, the Association recorded a surplus of £27,421 Our main sources of income remained consistent with previous years and included programme fees, fitness classes, facility hire (including the sports hall and fitness suite), and grant funding to support specific projects. Expenditure continued to be led primarily by staff salaries and instructor fees. As anticipated, maintenance, utilities and general operating costs have remained elevated, reflecting ongoing economic pressures. The Committee continues to monitor expenditure carefully to ensure long-term sustainability while maintaining service quality. The Committee meets bi-monthly and oversees the strategic direction, governance and operational management of The Torrent Complex. Charitable Objectives The objects of the Association are to: (a) Promote the efficiency and effectiveness of community and voluntary organisations and projects in the area by providing advice, education, training and practical support for the benefit of the public; {b) Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit, without distinction of age, gender. ethnicity or political, religious or other opinions, by associating with statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort to: (i) Advance education; (li) Preserve and protect health; (iii} Provide public amenities and facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; (iv) Establish or secure the establishment of a Centre, and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in cooperation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects; and {v) Promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined. (c) Co-ordinate the efforts of community and voluntary organisations in the Torrent Valley to deliver efficient and effective community development through regular partnership engagement; (d) Co-ordinate fundraising activities on behalf of community and voluntary sector organisations in Donaghmore; {e) Support the provision and development of appropriate community buildings to sustain youth services, childcare, sport and the arts; (f) Provide a co-ordinated voice for the Torrent Valley area to influence strategies, policies and resource allocation decisions.
