Some of the highlights of 2023: The Skyway club reopened in February 2023 after being closed for 3 years due to the Covid pandemic there was also a change of staff. A new Club Facilitator called Leanne started in February 2023 and is very excited to be working with the club. Before Covid hit the skyway Club had made a full length movie called spin-off with Michael McNulty, about a table tennis club going to Germany for the Olympics. The club never got to premier the movie because it closed due to covid, the members finally got to show off their talent in a movie premiere in June 2023 where they rented out the queens film theatre and put the movie on the big screen, it was a fantastic night enjoyed by all. We started a cycling programme at Shaftsbury Community and Recreation Centre every Friday with the specially adapted bikes. We started back to table-tennis lessons with Jeff and meet every 2 weeks at Ormeau Table-tennis headquarters, 113, The Mount. We started working with Barbara from the Belfast Trust Health improvement team, she called out to the club weekly and chatted with the members about different areas of health and fitness and made some different healthy snacks for the group to try. We joined up with another club called The Junction club for dance classes with arts care which the group said they really enjoyed. We designed Christmas cards, each member designed their own card then we got them professionally printed.
