## **Some of the Skyway highlights of 2019:**
We marked 10 years of film-making with our Shoestring Movie Night and Skyway Oscars at the Black Box – this was a great success.
We played games at Belvoir Activity Centre, and learned to cycle the inclusive bikes in Ormeau Park with Disability Sports NI.
We became regulars at the gym, in our sessions with Jim, (Shaftesbury Community and Recreation Centre).
We continued to play table-tennis and now meet for our weekly session at Ormeau Table-Tennis headquarters, 113, The Mount!
We became Dementia Friendly Champions, working with the Alzheimer’s Society. We were part of a winning team at the Dementia Friendly Communities Awards for this work.
Staff members Linda and Matthew won “The Making a Difference” award, at the National Learning Disability and Autism Awards 2019.
We set ourselves a new challenge and started work on our first ever feature film, with Michael Mc Nulty.
This year, for Culture Night, we teamed up with Belfast Film Festival to screen our Shoestring movies in the Bean Bag cinema.
For Cinema Sports 2019 “Halloween Special”, we made a short film with Katie Taylor, and won a “Best Actors” award.
To join in with celebrations for Community Arts Partnership’s (CAPs) 20[th] anniversary (March 2020), we have been taking part in the Trash Fashion Project, learning to weave and work a loom to create accessories for an exhibition in St. Anne’s Cathedral!
