The priiicipal accounting policies adopted, judgemenls and key sources of estimation in tlie prepai'ation

Basis of preparatlon
The financial statements hav¢ been prepared in accordanc¢ with AccouJJting and Reporting by c1￿1,[ties.
Statement of Recommended PJ7ctic¢ applicable to Chariti￿ prepariiig their accounls in accordance with
the Finaiicial Reporting Standaixj applicable in ihe UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective I
Januaiy 2019) (Chai-ities SORP (FRS 102), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and tli¢ Coinpaiiies Act 2006.
The charity is a Piiblic Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially
i'ecognised at historical cost or transaction value iinless otherwise stated in the IElevant accountiiig
policy note(s). The accounls aye prepai'ed in sterling, which is the fuiictional cui'ren¢y of the charÉty.

Preparation of tl)e accounts on a going concern basts
The financial statements liave been prepaied on the going concern basi5. In assessiiig whethei. Ihe going
coiicei'n basis i'emains appi'opriate, Ilie directors Iiave considered the Association's ciii'rent financial
position, recent incoine generation and cost inanagement and forecast cash flows for a period of at least
twelve inonths from tlie date of approval of these financlal statements.
The Boai'd are aware of certain material uiicertainties whicli may cause doubt iipoii tlie Association's
ability to continLie as a going concern whicli includes stabilising its sei]ior management teain and
oversight pi'ovided by the newly appointed Board of Trustees. The Boai'd air confident that they can
meet Iheir day-to-day liabilities as Ihey fall due, however accept that theJE ait sevei'al conliiigent
liabilities whicli n)ay draw on Ihe Association's cash witliin the foreseeable future, i'efer to note 20.
Although significant cliallenges lie ahead in facilitating the transitioning of key einployees, Loughgiel
Coinmiiiiity Association Lld are cominitted to achieving financial slability aiid a briglit fuliiiE. Despite
Ihe chal lenges Loiighgiel Comniunity Associatioji Lid remains opliinistic and deteiiniiied to overcoine
these obstacles. While Ilie departing einployees, expertise will b¢ missed, we ale confident iii the
capabilitics of our reniainiiig staff and are actively seeking iiew talent to fill any gaps. We are cominitted
lo inaintaining the high standai'd of service and suppoit tllat oiir cominunity has Coine lo expect.
Iii addition to addressing tlie staff transitions, we are actively pursuing opportunities to diversify our
income souices. By exploi'ing gi'ants, fundraising aclivities, paitiierships, and other i'evenue-genei'ating

needed to thrive.
To support our finaiicial goals, we are iinplemei)ting efficient financial manageinent pi'actices, biidgels
and budget IEVl¢WS, expense monitoi'ing, and optimisation of opeiational cfTiciency will ensui'e the
effective use of resources. We al'e also exploi'ing new funth'aising eveiits and CaMpai￿]S to eiigage the
coininunity and raise funds.
Coininunity eiigagement and communication remain at the forefi'ont of our efforts. We will 8trengÈlien

In the long tei'in, we air committed to developing a coinprehensive financial plan that iiicludes
forecasting future fiinding needs, identifying poteiitial risks, and setting financial goals, This plan will
guide our decision-making and en5uI'e our fiiiancial stability in the years to come.
Loughgiel Commiinity Association remains dedicated to m¢asuring and reporting on the impact of our
woi'k. By showcasing the positive outcoines and value we create, we aim to demonstrate our
effectiveness and attract continued support froin funders and the coininunity.
Despite the challeiiges ahead, Loiighgiel Community Association is coiifjdent aiid detennined to
overcome them. Witli the support of our commiinity, partners, and volunteers, we believe that we can
build a bright fiJtuiE and achi¢ve financial steadiness for the benefit of all those we serve on this basis
the assessment of the triistees is that the charity is a going concern.
Fund Accounting
