## 3) Aims

The committee for the F.O.A. meet four times a year to review progress and approve activities, expenditures and the Annual Report. Attendance is 80% to 90% on each occasion.

This was suspended during Covid but returned to normal during 2022, the AGM was held in September.

Each year the committee issues an internal flyer to all clinical heads of departments/wards seeking requests for items which would enhance the patient/visitor experience. During 2022 two rounds of funding took place

No pre-selection or exclusions are applied, all departments are contacted.

Requests are collated with budget costs and presented to the full committee

In general no request is declined if it does not conflict with the following criteria;

- A) Must not be an item normally supplied by the Hospital,

- B) Must not contravene NHS or Hospital health and safety regulations,

- C) Must benefit the public as in the patient and visitors,

- D) Is within the prudent capabilities of the F.O.A. available funds.
