ended 31 December 2024. The fmancial sthtements have been prepared in accordance with the SORP (FRS102} and the
requirements of the Companies, Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The disclosur¢
requirements of section IA of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a trne
and fair view.
Principal Activities
Friends Forever Europe's principle purpose is to promote cross-community work through youth focused pr0grdrnn￿g.
Through volunteer servic¢ projects and intensive cornmunication and collaboration activities, Friends Forever inspires a
Dew generation of youth leaders to be confident and empowered ambassadors for peace in their own families. scbools and
communitie5. Youth participants and adull educators from all over Northern Ireland are the direct beneficiarie5 of Friends
Forev&s work Secondary benefits are afforded to the families of the youth participants, the NGOS that Friends Forever
parthers with, and the communities that they serye, both because of our work io cut down on sectarian behaviour but also
bpxause of our prornatic emphasis on service-based learning and professional development to rnake our participants
more prepared to enter the workforce (public speaking, confidence, professional deconmi etc.)
Friends Forever￿uroPe has been offering programs to Northern Ireland since 1986 from our USA based charity and has
worked with numerous youth organizations in thai time.
The public will benefit from this or8anization in there will be a more peacefu] society. There are no priV￿e benefits accrned
in this mission or potential hami frorn the purposes stated.
Organ5sadon Structsre
The committee consists of 4 director5 who administer the charity and meet regularly. The cornrnittee are responsible
for tbe strategic direction and policy of the organisation.
Committec members are from a variety of professional backgrounds relevant to the work of the charity. The
committee as a whole was approved by the AGM and continues to monitor its membership.

The results for the y¢ar are set out on page 7
Total incoming resources for the year were £67258.54 (2023 - £73311.04) of which £48691.59 was generated from fees and
£2253.70 received from donations and £16313.25 frnm wts.
Total resources expeoded were £69691.14 (2023 - £61709.82) of which £0 was expended on wages. The company returned
a deficit in resources for the year of -£-2432.60 (2023. 5uTplus £11601.22). At 31 Decernber 2024 the toLIl funds of the
charity amounied to £530568.02 (2023 - £533000.62), of which £9629.34 is unrestricted, £8599.34 restrict¢d.

Reserves policy
The committee consider it prudent to hold monies in reserve in the event that unforeseen circumstances should lead to
financial difficuliies which might put the future of its employment capacity, users, well-being and general charity
work in jeopardy.
Risk management
The committee are aware of the major risks to which the organisation is exposed. Where appropriate. systems or
procedures have been established to mitigate the risks the charity faccs. Internal control risks are minirnised through
the procedures for authorisation of all transactions and projects. Procedures are periodically reviewed to ensure that
they continue to m¢et th¢ needs of the organisation. Procedures are also in place to ensure compliance with health and
saf¢ty of volunteers and clients.
Statement of dlrectorg, responslbillties
Th¢ directors arc responsible for preparing thc Directors, r¢port and th¢ financial statements in ¥coTdance with
applicable law and regulations.
Under that law the directors have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with SORP (FRS102)
Under company law the director5 must not approve the financial ststernents unless they are satlsfied that they ￿ve a
true and fair view of the stste of affairs of the company for thatperiod.
In preparing those financial statements the direclors are TequiT¢d to:
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
observe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP.

prepare the financial slatements on the going concern basis unless it is iDappropriate to prcsumc that the

The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the
company's transactions and th'sclose with reasonabl¢ accurncy al any time the financial position of the company and
enable them to ensure that the f￿ancial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006 and relevant cbariry le￿slation.
They are also responsible for safeguardmg the assets of the cotnpany and hence for taking reasonable steps for tbe
prevention and detection of fraud and other I￿¢gularItIes.
Taxation
The company is a charity and is re￿gniSed as suth by HMRC for t&xation purp05¢s. As a resulL there is DO liability to
L￿allOn of any of its income.
This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions relating to small companies within Part 15 of the
Companies Act 2006 (FRS 102) and in accordance with the Charity SORP 2015.

independent examination is needed.

should aim to build up their reserve policy.

Charstable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and services for its
beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and
those costs of an indirect natUTe necessary to support them.
Costs of gcll¢rdting funds are those costs incurred in attracting voluntary income, and those incurred in
trading activities that raise funds.
GovernaDCC Costs include those incurred in the governance of its assets and are primarily associated with
constitutional and siatutory requirements.
2.3 Tangible r￿ed assets and depreciation
Fixed Assets costing more than £100 are capitalized.
Tangible fixed assets other than freehold land are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided
at rates calculated to write off the cosl less estimated residual value of each asset over its exp¢cted usefi
