Main activities and purpose
Over the past year the charity has seen a partial return to normal activities in the afternlath of
the COV1D-19 pandemic. Due to the continued risk to health of th¢ charity's members,
activities have been restricted. However, the charity was able to hold a Christmas dinner for
its members and has continued to provide fully accessible holiday accommodation for its
members. The charity will resume norn]al activity at the earliest possible time.
The charity's purpose remains:
running social events in the fonn of Christmas parties and other day and evening
activities to facilitate much needed social interaction
provision of grants for specialist disability equipment, improving independence and
mobility
renting a swimming pool to give rnembers access to physical activity
offering Informatio￿ supwrt and advice on finance. health, educatio￿ benefits.
employmenL and housing
facilitating and supporting research programmes
making available fully accessible and affordable holiday accommodation, improving
health outcomes and reducing levels of stress and anxiety.
Public benefit
The trustees believe that the clwity's purpose satisfies both ¢lem¢nts of the public benefit
requirements. The direet benefits which flow from the charity are listed above in this report.
Th¢ trustees have ensured they considered the Commission's Public Benefit requirements
when making decisions on carrying out their purpose.
