## Activities

**Purposes:** OBJECTIVES The Association is established to To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Ballymacareney, Dechomet, Derryneil,and Moneyslane area and its environs ( hereinafter described as the “ area of benefit”) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion.  It will do so by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare, education, recreation or other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To establish a Community Development Initiative and to co-operate with other relevant organisations in the promotion of activities by the Association and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects. To advance knowledge and appreciation of the Ulster-Scots- language and culture and to encourage understanding and acceptance of all indigenous culture to the area of benefit.
