Trustees‘ Report
The trustees have pleasure in presenting the Dundonald Christian Trust annual report for the year ended Sth April 2025. in view of the size of the charity and the small amounts of income and expenditure, the trustees have decided that it is appropriate to present the accounts on a receipts and payments basis.
History of the Association
The Dundonald Christian Trust was established in 2008. It is now registered with the Charity Commission for Northern freland (NIC 103349) and is run by the board of trustees.
Principle Objectives
The aim of the Trust is to support and further the religious and charitable work of St Elizabeth Dundonald, to advance the Christian religion around the worid and to support religious education and training. The Trust administers donations, regulates giving and considers applications for support.
Organisational Structure
The organisation has been structured in a way that ensures our members are able to access management and committee promptly when required. Our structure . also ensures clear management responsibility and accountability. Since 8th July 2015 the Tust has been registered with the Charity Commission for Nothern Ireland. The charity registration number is NIC103349.
Donors
There continues to be a small number of donors who give regularly to the Trust.
Activity during the year ended 5th April 2025
Grants given
6 grants were made this year to a variety of people and organisations. For example, £1000 to a Relay Worker for Christian Unions Ireland; £2000 to Christianity Explored - an organisation which provides resources and education for churches/individuals exploring the Christian Faith; £2000 to All Saints Church/St Nicholas Belfast towards 2 ministry apprenticeships; £1500 towards someone working for Logos Ministries, an organisation with a Bible Teaching Ministry in different contexts locally and globally, finally a grant of £2000 to someone training for Church Ministry at a Theological Training college in England.
These grants have however enabled the advancing of the Christian religion through training , education, bible teaching and apprenticeships.

Trustees’ Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Annual Report and the Financial Statements in accordance with applicabie law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the trustees to prepare Financial Statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to:

e select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
-
e observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP 2015 (FRS 102);
-
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
-
. State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements;
-
. prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act (Northern ireland) 2008, the Charities (Accounts and Reports 2015) and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

| report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 05 April 2025, which are set out on pages 1 and 2
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
it is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
-
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Commission under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
-
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiners’ report
| have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:

That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act

That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
-
That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act
-
That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
