Charitable purpose
The group is established to promote a play bas¢d learning environmetkt for all ¢hildren under statutory
school age, of Newry & Mourne and its surrounding environ in County Down by the provision of play
facilities and re¢r¢ation activities on the inter¢st of social welfare with the object of enhancing the
ucation and developmciit of the ehildreii without distinction of seK race of political, r¢ligion and
other opinions and so that their conditions of life may be improved.
Main activities during the year
Lower Mounie Prc-school has benefited the public by providing a high standard of preschool
education for children below the coinpulsory school age. We have piovided a high standard of
childcare at an affordable price to enable all farnilies to avail.
Main Achievements on the ycar
We provided a high standard of care and education for a larg¢ number of children from th¢ lo¢al and
surrounding community without prejudice. This has enhanced the lives of many and enabled thein
access lo leam through play hence giving them a foundation for life-long learning.

The constitution ￿'aS set out in 2015 and reviewed each year. which sets out membership.
subscriptions and management policies as well as powers of the committee and coiiductioii of
meetings. Voting powers and rules of pro¢edur¢s have been set out as well as th¢ role of the treasurer
within the group. Finally, the current constitution is held on file by the Charities Commission.
