Chrislmu 2024 once again involved tnany mall hours erecting the lighting in the village and the ChTiSttn&8 Tree. Ardglass looked rn2gical with the lighting displays iti the village. We decided to do sotnething a bit different this year nd held a cinerna event at the sehool with a showing of the ever-FN)pular"Home Alone" movie. This was well attended by the I￿al cornfftunity &s well u those from outside the Village. Th¢ children a]so had a ChristtD&¥ ¢arol $ingaloDg with Regina. The Sutnmer then seen the rebmi of our 5 Day Sutnmtt festival tn August 2025 with a jarn-packed prograll￿e of evenis for all the family opening with our ever-popular Ioktll & 5km Road races, Float Parade aroulld tbe village. to a Falnily Funday at the Meadow with inflatables, fair- ground attractions attd f(x)d and beverage vaos. Thi% year we had a few event5 that catered specifically for thildren with sensory issues and this was very welcotned by the children and their parents. The above evellts were fmanced by various ftmdraising events includtng Quiz and Bingo night4 Donations, and business sponsorship while several grants were success￿11Y applied for and secured. Attendees are encouTaged to make suggestions for artistic and educational activities which they feel would make a Posiiive impaet on the community. The present level of reseThes available to the charity is £17,359. The charity plans contilluillg the activities outlined above in the forthcoming years subject to satisfying fimding arrangements.
