BT39 OQT The Six Mile Valley District Masonic Charity Committee is governed by our constitution document which was approved by the Committee at a Special General Meeting held on the 12 December 2015. The Committee was registered with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland on 21" December 2015 and issued with charity number NIC 103309. The Committee has been accepted as charity by H.M. Revenue and Customs undei" reierence number XR 35314.

The Charity Committees, objectives are detailed within their constitution document as follow5; To relieve poverty amongst widows of freemasons, relatives of freemasons, or freemason5 who are experiencing financial hardship and who are or were subscribing members of lodges wi ihin the Six Mile Valley District as defined by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Antrim. At its discretion the Charity Committee can provide financial assistance for other exclusively charitable purposes as defined in the Charities Act INorthern Ireland) 2008. The Trustees have had regard to the public benefit guidance issued by the Charitv Commission for Northern Ireland. st During the year ended 31 December 2018 the Committee conducted the following activities in furtherance of its aim5 for the public benefit- It was with deep sadness that we report on the death of our treasurer during the year which sadly impacted on our dispersal of the monies allocated to our Masonic charitie5. This however has now been rectified through our current treasurer. A number of lodges from within the District made financial contributions and support to non-MasoNic charities through fund raising events and function5. The committee were also active in support to our local churches through organi5ing a Divine Church service and Carol service with participation from the local Primary school choir. The results of the Committee's activities during the year 2018 are a5 contained in the Receipt and Payments Accounts on page 5 and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities on page 6. The trustees are as always thanl(ful for the support of the brethren from within the district and their guests through their continued generous donatlOn5 which are used to further the Committees, purposes as detailed in their constitution document.
