AGM 4th April 2024

A full turnout of all members of the KRDA resulted in a very good AGM, It was proposed by Johnny Morrison and seconded by Jonathan Turner to re-elect all the members enbloc, the chairman said he would continue for 1 more year but felt there was other capable members to take over next year Chairperson David Matthews Treasurer Moira Alexander Secretary Gail Linton Committee Noelleen Carson, Kyle McKinley, Alan Linton, Norma McKinley, Elma Reid

The treasurer Moria Alexander was then asked by the chairperson to provide a financial report for the year. Moira began by thanking everyone present for the help during the last year, she commented that we were fortunate that the group was on a sound financial footing due to grants achieved by the group. It was also noted that utilising the car parking facilities during the week for local businesses had offset the rent owed to the orange hall. She continued saying that the trips to grand lodge museum had been interesting and informative but her personal favourite was the history talks re the coronation and the trip to derrys walls. The treasurer reported a total of £12181.60 in the bank

The chairperson thanked the treasurer and asked for ideas from the floor for events to run for the ensuing year Melisa Campbell suggested a table quiz for all the community in the autumn

John Scott suggested we bring in outside caterers to hold a Christmas dinner in December Aaron Linton suggested we should revisit the Somme in Belgium in 2025 as there was loads to see The chairperson agreed that these were fantastic ideas and encouraged the group to work hard to ensure these events take place

It was agreed that the next AGM would be held April 2025 Secretary Gail Linton
