Evangeline- Chairperson's Report: This is the first face to face AGM that we have had since 2019 as it has all been on Zoom. Thank you to the committee members and staff for all their support throughout the year. Congratulations to Zoe on her promotion. Congratulations to Justine who will be joining the team as Deputy Leader in November. The lease with the church is ongoing. We are in communication with them about getting something formally agreed on. We have forms for committee members to sign. The policies and procedures will be emailed out for members to read. Social services inspection is due in November. They will send a parents questionnaire directly to the parents to complete. This year the staff have been working really hard to improve service for parents and ch ild ren through planning lots of activities. Thank you to them for all their hard work. Faye- About our Committee.. We are inviting anyone to join out committee. This would be to help have an impact on the Playgroup by planning activities and fund raising events. This is really important as we are a charity and can't only rely on funding from EA. Its also an opportunity to meet other parents who's children will be at the same stage of school throughout their education. What do we do? We meet every 6 weeks; we make sure that the setting is running well; we work along staff to help and support them in anyway we can; we organise fundraising events; we also help to manage and recruit staff; we manage the playgroup finances.
Alan- Treasurerfs Report: {see report attached) Budget ran from August to August. Our rent is currently £5000 and will increase once we organise the contract. We budget and set targets each year on spending. We have been lucky to have a lot of funding from EA relating to Covid but we won't have that every year. We need to work on fund raising this year to help close the gap. New members: Hannah Nelson Aileen Devlin Emma McKinley Next meeting 30th November TBC
