BALLYHEMLIN NON-SUBSCRIBING PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
NURSERY ROAD BALLYHALBERT BT22 NI Charity Registration No. 101053
2021 TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT 1st January 2021 – 31st December 2021
The trustees and members have regard to the public benefit ensuring that the Church works to enrich the lives of church members, their families and the wider community. In doing so, the Church seeks as its charitable purposes to promote the inalienable right of every Christian to search the records of Divine Truth for his own instruction and guidance, to form his own opinions with regard to what they teach, and to worship God in sincerity, agreeably to the dictates of his own conscience, without privation, penalty, or inconvenience inflicted by his fellow-men.
The Church is governed by Trust Deed and acts in accordance with ‘The Constitution and Code of Discipline’ of the Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church of Ireland.
Due to the ongoing Covid situation from March 2020 sadly the church remained closed under Government Guidance.
Church members kept in touch over the months via social media and when it was allowed we called with other members who were unable to be part of the group on social media. We continued to view various church services from a number of our churches over the months.
We were delighted to be able to return to worship under guidelines and host our Harvest and Carol Services along with our normal Sunday services. Various items were purchased to enhance the building with the aid of grants and donations. Our kitchen was completely refurbished thus creating an amazing area for catering for the future.
The following individuals served as charity trustees during the year and on the date that the trustee report was approved: Mrs Carole McAvoy, Mrs Audrey Mackey along with the Minister in Charge, Rev Ian Gilpin and Treasurer Mrs Joy Carlile.
The Church is considered to be in sound financial standing at the close of the financial year ending 31st December 2021.
This concludes the Trustees Report.
