with the financlal statements of the charity for the year ending 28 February 2024, which are
prepared to meet the requirements for a directors. report and accounts for Companies Act
purposes. The director5 have adopted the provisions of the Companies Art 2006 and Accounting
and Reportlng by CharStles: Statement of Recommended Practice appllcable to charitles preparing
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ereland (Charities SORP - FRS102), in preparing the annual report and financial statements of the

The company Is governed by Its Memorandum and Articles of Assoclatlon dated 15 Februarv 2006
and updated In January 2022. In the event of the Company being wound up members are
required to contribute an amount not exceedin9 £10. The Board is responsible for the overall
governance of the Company and Is actlvely involved in the day to day management of the
organisation.
Dlrectors are appolnted in Ilne wlth the Memorandum & Artlcles of Association of the companv.
The Board of Directors are also known as Trustees for the purposes of the Charity Commlsslon.

As set out In the Articles, Directors of the Company (who serve as Trustees of the Charity for the
purposes of Charity Lawl are elected by the members of the company, or can be co-opted by the

Trustee Inductlon and Tralnlng
Incoming Members of the Board Of Directors are aware of the aims and objectives of the Charity
and the manner In whlch the Trustees carry out thelr re5ponslblllties. The Chair, supported by the
Chief Executive, oversees an induction proce55 for new Directors, who are provided with key
documents, including the Artlcles of Association of the company. An overview of the operations
of the company is provided by the Chief Executive and new Directors are afforded the
opportunity to meet wlth key staff and view the key elements of the company's operations.

Organlsatlon
The Board of Trustees administers the Charity. The Board meets a minimum of 4 tlmes per annum.
The operations of the charity are mana9ed on a day-to-day basis by a Chief Executive, appointed
by the Board of Trustees.
Rlsk management
The directors have conducted a revlew of the rnajor risks to which the charity is exposed.
Financial risk Is reviewed on a monthly basis having due regard to ongoing income and expenses.
Objectlves and Actlvltles (and how thev dellver publlc benefit)
The Company is a non-profit making entity. The principal activity of Coaching4Christ is that of a
charity which is re9iStered according to the law of Northern Ireland to advance the Chrlstian faith
via sport, The Ministry operates in 6 aspects:. youth development through our Youth Academy
(5-12 year olds) League teams (13-17 year olds) our schools work (5-18 year olds), summer
camps and International work, with support In all of thls through our Prayer Warriors.
In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful
consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to
ensure that the actlvlties have helped to achleve the charity's purposes and provlde a beneflt to
Its beneficiaries.
Youth Academ
Our Youth Academy has again seen qrowth In the last vear, not Just in kids coming but also wlth new
volunteer coaches coming on board. As well as thSs we are now offerlng a Young Volunteerlng Initiative
to our players from the u 17 team who wish to volunteer as part of thelr DOE award, allowing these
young people to grow and develop as leaders whilst received training and mentorlng.
On a weekly basis between our Youth Academy and Schools Mlnlstry we have the prlvllege of Mlnlstry to
and coathing 2,000 young people
Our Youth Academy runs from Monday-Thursday evenlngs wlth matches on Friday nights and
Saturday's. Offering 3 areas of coaching - social, development and league football no.one is excluded.
We have now have 10 teams in the South Belfast League, and they are performing very well.
Every evenin9 at our variou5 coachlng locatlons throughout mld and East Antrim the young people take
part In the 5esslons whlch include development both on and off the pltch through group discussions on
biblical storles and toplcal issues.
These values for life are from a faith-based perspective and help engage young people who have never
encountered the Christian faith, see a real modern-day example of how to have a relatlonshlp with God.
For any young person who already has a relationship with God we help disciple them throughout their
tlme wSth us by the coaches offering mentoring in small groups.
We place a hlgh value on our Volunteer5, many who serve two nights a week and a Saturday morning
or afternoon and offer many other opportunities such as coach education, coach mentorlng and
coaching badge5,
We are very privileged to be invited into schools in the mid and east antrim area - 17 in total includi ng
prlmary and secondary level, whlch allows us to share the Gospel wlth 1600 young people weekly.
Alongside this we offer programmes whlch are a9e relevant and offer help around issues that the
voung people are facing, such as bullying, poor mental health and low self-worth. The recorded
outcomes have been very encouraging so much so that we have been asked to outreach into rnore

schoo15 in the wider N.1, area. The Vision for our schools, work is tremendous and we are working
alongside the schools to offer Leadershlp Trainlng and Development. We have also been asked to offer
our services within the curriculum for PE and sports which we have Introduced in the last year. We are
also Involved In runnlng three schools, teams.
As the relatlonshlp with schools grows the coaches are getting more opportunitles to share in School
Assemblies.
We currently have a waltlng Ilst of 30 schools, and we continue to offer opportunltles for further
volunteer coaches to help make all this reality.
In the month of May we launched school festlval days, where we go into I school for the whole day
offering coaching and sharing the beautiful Gospel message.

As a full time, team, we actlvely look at our personal development in areas relevant such as coach
education with 3 of our coache5 obtalnlng thelr 'B' Llcence and I thelr 'C' licence progresslng onto
completlng thelr'A' and 'B' Ilcence respectivelyi in the next year. We have one new full-tlme
self-employed coach and l intern. In partnership with Stranmillis College, Belfast we offer 2 week
placement to final year students to help them experlence the Mlnlstry, and allow them opportunlty to
use thelr glfts to serve others, A number of these students have joined the team on overseas rnission,
with others coming onto our Internshlp Programme.
In the last year we had teams running summer camps locally and also In Kllkenny, SpaSn, and North
Afrlca. Allowlng us to expand the reach into the Nation5. Thi5 year will have been our 10th year In the
Cordoba region of Spain.
Coaching for Christ ministry founded to see Ilves and communltles transformed by Christ through sport;
the Vlslon of whlch has always been to have our own outdoor facility to accommodate the ever-growing
Youth Academy. When Coachlng for Christ purchased our bullding in The Diamond, Aho9hill In 2013 It
was exactly what we needed for our M inistry - especially the indoor football pltch where all our coaching
sessions were carried out. In the last 10 years our Youth Academy has grown, and we now have over
400 young people coming on a weekly basi5. Thi5 has meant that we have been unable to use our
indoor facility for Some tlme, resultlng In us hirlng facllltles all over mid and east Antrlm to facllltate the
ever-growin9 numbers attending,
For Coachlng for Christ to contlnue to expand thls essentlal work and In Ilne wlth God's clear dlrectlon
and through much prayer, we have made decision to sell our current building in Ahoghlll and are pleased
to say that we are 'sold'. We have also secured offlces at 1st Floor, Fairhill House, Ballymena where our
administration will be based, and we are now very artively looking for a site in the Mid and East Antrim
area.

A Christian Ministry has purchased the building, and we are delighted about this, an answer to prayer,
nd we trust that God will continue to use 14-16 The Dlamond as a house for His Gospel to be shared
at home and abroad.
In the last few years alongside our overseas ministry we began making links into the USA, We foresee
that the Ministry could be planted in USA end of 202512026 with one of our full-time team fulfilling the
Vision to 90. We are currently making plan5 for this exciting new venture.

With eternlty In mind all we do is to Glorify God by our lives and 'Go make disciples,, In the last year we
give Praise to God for saving souls, for adding volunteers and supporters. We would also like to
acknowledge those who support the work, through prayer, serving or financlally, you are all part of
Ministry and we are truly thankful for each of you. For the faithfulness for each volunteer, Director, full
time team, thank you.
Everything we do is overseen by our Team Df Prayer Warriors, ever expanding in number. This
committed group cover each coach and the work daily In prayer. We consider them the backbone of
CFC.

During the year the charSty received donations totalling £307,874 and had expenditure of £293,141.
At the year end the charity had £156,871 of unrestricted cash funds to meet the continuing running
costs of the company.
The company plans to contlnue its actlvitie5 In the forthcomlng years.
The reserve policy of Coaching4Christ is to aim to hold reserves of 6 months of unrestrlcted
running costs. At present Coaching for Chrlst have unrestrlcted reserves equal to 3 months
unrestrlcted running costs.

This report has been prepared in accordance wlth the speci31 provisions relatlng to companies
subject to the small companles regime within Part IS of the Companles Act 2006.
The directors (who are the trustees of Coaching for Chrlst Ltd, l are responsible for preparlng the
dlrectors, report and the financial statements in accordance wlth applicable law and regulations.
Company law requlres the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under
that law the dlrectors have prepared the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom
Generally Accepted Accountlng Practice (Unlted Kingdom Accountlng Standards and appllcable law).
Under Company law the dlrectors must not approve the financial statements unless they are
satlsfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitable company and of

I report to the trustees on my examination of the flnanclal statements of Coaching for Christ
Ltd. (the charity) for the year ended 29 February 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of roport
As the trustees of the charity (and also its dlrertors for the purposes of company law) you are
responsible for the preparation of the financlal statements in accordance with the requirements
of the CompanSes Act 2006 {the 2006 Acti,
Havlng satlsfied myself that the financial statements of the charlty are not required to be
audlted under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examlnatlon, I report in
respect of my examination of the charity's flnancial statements carried out under section 65 of
the Charltles Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 (the 2008 Act). In carrylng out my examination I have
followed all the applicable Directions glven by the Charity Commission under section 65{9)(b)
of the 2008 Act.

I have completed my examination. I conflrm that no matters have come to my attention In

I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The prlncipal accounting pollcies adopted, judgements and key sources of estimatlon uncertainty
In the preparation of the financial statements are as follows..
a) Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reportin9 by
Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparinq their accounts
In accordance with the Financlal Reportinq Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
(FRS 102) (effective l January 2019) - Icharities SORP (FRS 102), the Financial Reportino
Standard aopllcable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 1021 and the Companies Act 2006.
Coachinq for Chrlst meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and
Iiablllties are initially recoqnised at hlstorlcal cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated
in the relevant accountlno Dolicv note(s).
bl PreDaration of the accounts on a qoina concern basis
At the time of approvin9 the flnancial statement5, the tru5tee5 have a reasonable expectation
that the charSty has adequate resources to contlnue In operatlonal existence for the foreseeable
future, Thus the trustees continue to adopt the qolnq concern basls of accountino In preDarlnq
the financial statements.
c) Fund Accounting
Unrestricted funds are funds whlch are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees In
furtherance of the general objectives of the Chanty and which have not been deslgnated for
other purposes.
Restricted funds are funds whlch are to be used in accordance wlth specific restrlctlons lrnposed
by donors or whlch have been raised by the Charlty for particular purposes. The cost of ralsing
and administering such funds are charged against the specific fund. The aim and use of
restricted funds Is set out In the notes to the flnanclal statements. Restrlcted funds may only
be transferred to general or designated funds once the crlteria for restriction have been
discharged or no longer apply.
d) Income
Income15 recoqnised when the charlty Is leoallv entltled to it after any performance condltlons
have been met. the amounts can be measured reliablv. and it Is probable that income wlll be
received. Cash donatlons are recoqnised on recelpt. Other donations are recoqnised once the
charity has been notified of the donation, unless performance conditions require deferral of the
amount. Income tax recoverable In relatlon to donations recelved under Gift Aid or deeds of
ovenant is recoqnlsed at the time of the donation.
e) Donated services and facllltles
In accordance with the Charlties SORP (FRS 102). the oeneral volunteer time of SUDDOrters Is
not recognised.
l) Expenditure and irrecoverable VAT
Expenditure is recognlsed once there Is a legal or constructlve obligation to make a payment to
a third party, It Is probable that settlement wlll be requlred and the amount of the obligation
can be measured reliably. Expenditure Is classified under the followlng activity headlng..
Expenditure on charltable actlvlties comprises those costs Incurred bv the charlty In the
delivery of its activities and services for its beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be
allocated dlrectly to such activities and those costs of an indirert nature necessary to support
them.

All costs are allocated between the expenditure categories of the Statement of Financial
Activities on a basis designed to reflect the use of the resource. Costs relatlng to a particular
activity are allocated directlyi Other5 are apportioned on an appropriate basi5.
Irrecoverable VAT is charged as a cost against the activlty for whlch the expenditure was
Incurred.
gl Tanglble fi'xed assets and depreclatlon
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreclation.
Depreclatlon is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed asset5,
le55 their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following basis:

Trade and other debtors are recognised at the settlement amount due after any trade dlscount
offered, Prepayments are valued at the amount prepaid after taklng account of any trade
discounts due.
11 Cash at bank and In hand
Cash at bank and cash in hand includes cash and short term current accounts.
J) Creditors and provisions
Creditors and provisions are recogniseé where the charlty has a present obligatlon resulting
from a past event that wlll probably result in the transfer of fund5 to a thlrd pa rty and the
amount due to Settle the obligation can be measured or estimated reliably, Creditors and
provislons are normally recognised at their settlement amount after allowlng for any trade
dlscounts due.
k) Financlal Instruments
The trust only has financial assets and financlal Ilabllltles of a klnd that qualify as basic finoncial
Instruments. Baslc flnanclal Instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and
subsequently measured at their settlement value wlth the exceptlon of bank loans which are
subsequently measured at the carrying value plus accrued interest less repayment5. The
rinancing charge to expenditure is at a constant rate calculated uslng the effective interest
method.
11 Taxatlon
The company is a registered charity and the charitable tax exemptions are therefore being
clalmed to the extent that income andlor gains are applicable and applied to charltable
purposes only. These exemptions will remain in place as long as income and expenditure is
applied to charltable purposes only,

m) Critical accounting estimates and judgements
In the application of the charity's accounting policies, the trustees are required to make
judgements, estimates and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that
are not readily apparent from other sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are
based on historical experience and other factors that are considered to be relevant. Actual
results may differ from these estimates.
The estimates and underlylng assumptions a￿ reviewed on an on9olng basis. Revisions to
accounting estimates are ￿COgnised in the period in which the estimate 15 revised where the
revislon affects only that perloé, or in the perlod of the revlsSon and future perlods where the
revlsion affect5 both current and future perlods.
