It is governed by a Constitution, Trust deed, Memorandum and Articles of Association. The Charitable purposes of charity are to include a better educational standard and attainment for the pupils of the school and an enhanced image and reputation of St Patrick’s Primary School, Glen. These result from better links, discussion and understanding amongst parents, school staff, the Principal and the Board of Governors as well as the co-ordinated practical support for the school’s work. These benefits are measured by the amount of money raised for the school, the numbers attending social events organised by the Committee, feedback from the staff, principal and governors
of the school (which is reported three times a year) and ultimately in the pupil’s education. There is no private benefit or harm flowing from these purposes.
To further these purposes for the public benefit, we carried out the following activities:
Linkages between the children and parents of St Patrick’s school and the staff, principal and Board of Governors. Our group also functions as a fundraising agency where it tries to organise small social events, the profits of which are returned to the general funds of the school. The Association encourages as many parents as possible to make an effort to play a bigger part in the life of the school as a recognition of the opportunities given to their children who attend St Patrick’s Primary School Glen.
